By Paul Dvorak | March 15, 2017

ARCOM and SSI have worked together to create customized versions of the industry-trusted MasterSpec sections to accurately specify SSI’s unique products.

Surge Suppression LLC (SSI), an ILSCO Company, dedicated to lightning and surge protection products, and ARCOM, the leader in specifications, are pleased to announce that SSI product data and customized specifications are available through ARCOM’s software platforms to architects, engineers, and design professionals.

ARCOM and SSI have worked together to create customized versions of the industry-trusted MasterSpec sections to accurately specify SSI’s unique products. Along with these specification sections, SSI’s product catalog, data sheets, as well as ILSCO’s Surgency surge protective devices are easily accessible to specifiers when working on their projects. Phoenix Contact Lightning Monitoring System (LM-S) use sensors based on the Faraday Effect to provide a more comprehensive range of lightning data to manage assets. Polarized light is rotated through a magnetic field over a defined length and measured. When mounted on a turbine blade’s down conductor, an external magnetic field is generated by the lightning current, which travels down the conductor and rotates a light beam proportional to the current amplitude. The LM-S lightning current measuring system can detect, evaluate, and remotely monitor lightning strikes in real-time.
