On November 11th and 12th 2015, experts from the wind energy industry met for the eighth time for the successful workshop series “Profi[t] with Wind” at the 24th Wind Energy Days in Linstow, Germany. The initiators of Bachmann Monitoring welcomed about 500 participants to the topics under the guiding theme Economics and Technology.

More than 500 operators, operating managers, manufacturers, suppliers, maintenance companies, experts, and insurers of the wind energy industry visited the workshop series “Profi[t] with Wind.”
As every year, Prof. Jochen Twele moderated the colloquium jointly designed by many experts and renowned co-organizers, which was made up of overall 22 speakers. Keynote speaker Dr. Mathias Harnack, CEO of Investment & Beteiligung of RCM GmbH in Dresden, showed in his opening speech how an overall concept can bridge the apparent contradiction between economically viable solutions and innovative technology.
Other focus topics included “Rotor blades and all related aspects”, among others the speech “From everyday life of rotor monitoring to possible cost reduction” of Dr. John Reimers, Bosch Rexroth Monitoring Systems GmbH, convinced.
Matthias Brandt, Deutsche Windenergietechnik AG, clearly showed a progress report to realize an own renewable power plant from practice – for practice. Michael Biesold and Andreas Nehl of CSO Energy GmbH talked about “Quo Vadis of operational management” and Nils Heinig of DNV GL-Energy about “Crown angle in sensor technology”.
“Also this year’s highly qualified exchange with 22 speakers and over 500 participants will allow us to continue our convincing workshop series of course in the next years”, says Holger Fritsch, General Manager of Bachmann Monitoring GmbH.
The workshop closed with the popular evening event in which the “Singing Barkeepers” providing some enjoyable entertainment.

The specialist monitoring company located at the Jena/Rudolstadt technology base for 15 years has been a subsidiary of Bachmann electronic GmbH in Feldkirch, Austria, since 2010. The remote centers in Asia and America currently under development are also provided with technical support from the Rudolstadt site.
