The Dokie Wind Farm recently surpassed its old generation record of 328,553 MWh, which was set in 2011.

Canadian-based Alterra Power announced that British Columbia’s Dokie 1 Wind Project recently achieved a record annual generation. As of December 23, 2015, Dokie surpassed its old generation record of 328,553 MWh, which was set in the project’s inaugural year, 2011.

Located approximately 1100 km northeast of Vancouver, the 144-MW Dokie Wind Project is the largest commercial wind farm operation in B.C. It is comprised of 48 Vestas V90 wind turbines, a switchyard, and 7-km of 230 kV transmission lines. Alterra owns 25.5% of the project and operates the wind farm.

On December 26, the Dokie project also achieved a performance earn-out hurdle that will result in a C$750,000 payment to the company. This is pursuant to the terms of the partial sale of the project in December 2013 to a fund managed by Axium Infrastructure Inc.
